College!

Here are some pictures from LDS Business College my first semester in 2006

We're at our first school dance

Inside the Conference Center before Conference. It was my first time listening to conference in person. Such a great experience. I remember President Hinkley waving his cane to everyone as he walked by the stands. His is so cute, I love him!

Outside after General Conference

We are dressed up for 80s night at a club. We went to the DI or some store like that to get cheap 80s alfits. They have some interesting things there... it was fun. We got all ready and someone said that it wasn't very far but ended up walking forever and it was a wet and freezing night. We ended up getting a ride by some guy that us girls didn't really know but the guys we were with knew him. He dropped us off and we waited in line forever to get in. In line there was a whole bunch of weirdos and we were not sure if we really wanted to go anymore, but we were there already so we were going to go. We finally got to the front of the line and find out that we have to have our I.D. to get in and we left our purses and stuff in the guys truck. We had to get out of line and wait around while the guys we were with walked far to the guys truck to get our stuff. By the time he had gotten our stuff we decided we didn't want to go after all because we weren't too excited about dancing with nasty guys that were drinking and smoking.... That was the last time I have ever gone to a club and will my last, but on the bright side it was an adventure and we had fun getting ready =)

Ready to go to a Halloween Party

It's Halloween! This is my first roommate dressed up as a cute devil angel. I was dressed up as a cat.... Classic

This is Jackie, Bruce, and I before going to Midget Ville. Those of you that are from Utah I'm sure have heard of it. Well I had never heard of it until I came to Utah so I had to go. We dressed in dark clothes and quietly walked around their houses. They just looked like normal smaller homes. The doors weren't smaller and neither were the mail boxes or anything. I was kind of disapointed but we did end up seeing a small person get in his car so it does exist, but all it is is a neighborhood where midgets live, nothing like what people make it seem like. Not as exciting as people make it sound but it was so fun just sneaking around and having fun with my friends. Now looking back I feel bad... If I were them I would hate people like us sneaking around my neighborhood.... I'm much more mature now ; )

This is a picture of my closest girl friends in my first semester. It was a lot of fun with them. That night was our last night together before going home for Christmas break. We through a little surprise going away party for Charlie (top left) because she wasn't going to be coming back the next semester because she was going to be getting married

This is the beautiful view I got to enjoy right outside the balcony of our dorm room. If you can't tell, there is two big dumpsters and a parking lot that always had road construction going on... not the prettiest, but I thought it was pretty fun. We would always just toss our trash over our balcony because we were too lazy to take it all the way down there... I guess there was a benefit of our very ugly view haha

This on the other hand was not an ugly view. Our dorms were just a block away from temple square. I loved it because I would go to temple square all the time and just admire the beautiful temple. I'm so grateful for temples and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! =)
